ESSAY ONE: The creative process.

One step leads to a journey of a thousand miles.

I would like to share a creative journey with you, one that took me completely by surprise and turned my life into something I never could have foreseen.

Drawing and painting have been my love since the time I could pick up a crayon. Teaching was added to my list of delights when I went to choose a career path that would support my work as an artist.

My original dream was not very original. I simply wanted to be a "rich and famous" artist with exhibits around the world - the usual. However, when I did have exhibits and experienced the excitement of selling my work, I found that something was missing - heart.

At the same time, I was teaching art at the adult level and finding that the process was opening up avenues for growth in a very personal way. It inspired me to add a masters degree in Arts and Consciousness to my credentials.
