PAiNTING SACRED WISDOM -  THE TREE OF LIFE

My most recent body of work draws from the KABALLAH with its rich symbol of growing spiritual awareness that is the TREE OF LIFE.  At the root of the tree is the physical manifestation of divine expression that we view as our earth, environment and life experience.  This point is referred to as “Kingdom”.  At the top of the tree, known as the “Crown”, there is the realization of Divine oneness.  Between the base and the top are 32 paths that enhance an individual’s divine consciousness, step by step. 

It is my wish to create images that inspires the viewer to experience a profound connection with Source.  I suspect that painting the 32 paths in the TREE OF LIFE may provide me with ample opportunities to convey the connection.

My rendition of “Kingdom” examines the beginning stage of awakening.  Note the rocklike figures sleeping amongst the roots of the tree.  This inspiration came from a Renaissance painting of “The Resurrection” which had guards sleeping at the foot of the cross. There is a clear connection between the cross and the tree.   Within the radiant trunk of the tree is an icon for freedom. We begin to liberate our true potential when we wake up to the fact that as individuals we are actually an integral part of a universal system.
